“Starting again. With companies”. The Cattolica Assicurazioni experience at the CUOA Business School in Altavilla Vicentina

The goal is ambitious, as can be seen from the title of the conference held on Monday 21 October at the CUOA Business School in Altavilla Vicentina in collaboration with L’Economia of Corriere della Sera: “L’economia d’Italia. Ripartire. Dalle imprese”. [Italy’s economy. Starting again. With companies.] A challenge that Cattolica Assicurazioni has faced with conviction, as General Director Valter Trevisani explained, over the course of the round table moderated by journalist Stefano Righi.
“The insurance industry today is approaching the dawn of a transformation that I would dare to define as ‘momentous’”, explained Trevisani, “driven prevalently by technology and an extensive availability of data. We find ourselves faced with the need to move on from the classic claim-compensation paradigm to an approach based on prevention-protection. In other words, insurance must not be circumscribed to the sole moment relating to the payment of a sum of money when a claim arises. It must assist the customer throughout the entire duration of the contract. Our Business Plan brings together these challenges and fundamentally proposes two priorities: on the one hand, to strengthen the position by safeguarding roots in the territory, and secondly, to create a future by drawing on the drive provided to us by technology and data”.
The pole star of every action remains the customer. “We must create an inclusive offer focused as much as possible on the characteristics of our customers”, continued Trevisani. “For us, product innovation takes the form of connected digital policies, both in the Auto and Life sector. We are moving towards products that reward virtuous habits, and in this sense, data plays a fundamental role in achieving the possibility of providing a service that mirrors the user’s characteristics as much as possible”.
