Giovan Battista Mazzucchelli, Chief Executive Officer of Cattolica, awarded The Insurance Élite 2010 Prize
“For having improved the operating efficiency of the company in a particularly difficult year for the market”: This was the reasoning given as Chief Executive Officer of Cattolica Assicurazioni, Giovan Battista Mazzucchelli, was presented the “Insurance Élite” award at the Milano Finanza Insurance Awards 2010. The award is an important recognition of the results achieved by Cattolica Assicurazioni and its Management Team during a particularly difficult year for the insurance sector and for the economy in general following the arduous financial crisis of 2008.
The award was presented to Mazzucchelli during the ceremony at last night’s charity dinner in Palazzo Clerici in Milan. The proceeds were donated to the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi, promoted by scientists and researchers and recognised internationally.
Created by the group specialised in financial publishing, the Milano Finanza Insurance Awards are an event of great interest to those employed in the industry. In particular, with Insurance Élite, managers nominated by the financial community are honoured for their credibility and reputation, as are companies who have stood out for their strategies.
This sees Cattolica Assicurazioni earn another quality mention, after its third consecutive position amongst the best companies on the market for quality corporate and social reporting.
“We are proud”, declared Paolo Bedoni, Chairperson of Cattolica, “of this prestigious award. Presented to the Chief Executive Officer of Cattolica, in a year that saw our company record significant profits, it goes against the market trend and is an expression of work carried out in past years to restore our Group and prepare it for a new relaunch and development phase. A recognition like this, coming from the financial community, constitutes a reason for great satisfaction for us all.”
