Cattolica at Associazione Italiana Financial Innovation’s Financial Innovation Day

At the Financial Innovation Day, think tank developed by Associazione Italiana Financial Innovation to promote and publicise the culture of innovation in the banking, insurance and finance sector, Luigi Barcarolo, Director of Motor Insurance, Insurance Analytics & Business Architecture at Cattolica Assicurazioni, spoke about what Cattolica is doing in terms of innovation, one of the three cornerstones of the 2018-2020 Business Plan, alongside profitable growth and technical excellence.
“At the heart of the strategy”, Barcarolo told an audience of managers who are tasked with promoting innovation as a strategic growth lever on a daily basis, “is the goal of developing the most classic insurance paradigm, fundamentally based on the concept of damage/reimbursement, into a much more evolved model where the company helps the customer to prevent damages and protects it by providing assistance services”. Barcarolo also illustrated the main innovations that the company is involved with in both the short and medium term: the provision of related insurance products, the partnership with IMA Italia Assistance and the agreement with Coopselios in the elderly sector, all initiatives which are aimed at ensuring the provision of quality services to our customers.
During the event, the results of the “Osservatorio Innovazione Finanziaria 2019” [Financial Innovation Observatory 2019] for the banking, insurance and financial sectors were presented.
