Cattolica Assicurazioni main sponsor to Padua European Volunteering Capital 2020

It was made official on Thursday 23 January, during the presentation of the “2019 Annual Report” on the state of volunteering in Padua by the Padua CSV (Volunteering Services Centre): Cattolica Assicurazioni is to be the main sponsor to Padua European Volunteering Capital 2020.
This series of events is aimed at volunteer organisations from all over Europe, turning Padua into a workshop-city of national importance, capable of attracting ideas, launching projects and starting processes and experiences. “Volunteering and the non-profit sector are a valuable resource for all Italy. Cattolica Assicurazioni stands with these organisations, out of the conviction that solidarity, subsidiarity and generosity contribute to promoting a society on a human scale, with a focus on the common good.
This model finds its ideal setting in ‘Padua European Volunteering Capital 2020’, which we have decided to support with conviction, “as main sponsor”, stated Cattolica Assicurazioni Group’s general manager, Valter Trevisani. The Verona-based company has always taken special interest in these organisations, and it is no coincidence that it is the only company in the insurance sector to include a department dedicated solely and exclusively to non-profits and religious organisations, as noted Monday evening at Caffè Pedrocchi by Giovanni Tessitore of the Cattolica Business Unit. Together with the over five million people who make up the Italian volunteering community, Cattolica seeks to reconcile values, interests, entrepreneurship and company goals. Together with the non-profit sector, it seeks to provide fitting responses to the insurance needs of such organisations, affected by the legal changes involved in the reform of the Non-Profit Sector Code.
The opening day of the event is set for 7 February, at the Padua Convention Centre, to be attended by President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
