Cattolica Assicurazioni on the field with ChievoVerona For Special
Monday 11th February, at the Bottagisio Sports Centre, the new championship of ChievoVerona For Special was officially presented. This football team of young athletes with disabilities is supported by Cattolica, which is committed to its goals and objectives. As well as A.C. ChievoVerona’s entire disabled football team, the press conference was attended by the Company’s Marketing Director, Francesco Minelli, Chievo’s Chairman, Luca Campedelli, the Director of the Bottagisio Sports Centre, Corrado di Taranto, and two first team players, Riccardo Meggiorini and Nicolas Frey. ChievoVerona For Special, which is embarking on its fourth consecutive season in 2020, has 19 players - 17 male and two female. It is captained by Nicolò Santi, coached by Francesco Pirmati, Riccardo Rossi, Angela Coppola, Stefano Invento and Luca Sacchetto, and managed by Riccardo Pasqualini.
At the event, Francesco Minelli, Marketing Director of Cattolica Assicurazioni, commented: “This partnership, signed with the disabled football team of one of Verona’s best-known sports clubs, is another opportunity to highlight Cattolica's special relationship with the region to which it belongs, and the particular attention that the Company has always paid to institutions committed to creating and giving space to inclusive sports and entertainment entities, in a spirit of solidarity and social cohesion: fundamental values that align with Cattolica’s approach. As this project is launched, we can only wish the young athletes of the team a season full of success and satisfaction. We hope that other entrepreneurial entities and institutions in the region will contribute towards the growth of all organisations affirming, through sport, that people are of key importance and that they have value beyond specific situations of discomfort and difficulty.”
