Cattolica renews its partnership with the Italian Deaf Sports Federation and the Women’s National Deaf Volleyball Team

The Italian Deaf Sports Federation (FSSI), an organisation that manages sports activities for deaf people in Italy, will continue to be able to count on the support of Cattolica Assicurazioni. The continued sponsorship has actually doubled, since the agreement was renewed for two years following the first signature that took place eight months ago, when the company began supporting the Women’s National Under 21s for the European Volleyball Championships 2018 in Palermo, where the Azzurre took home a silver medal. Cattolica has decided to support the women’s volleyball team connected to the FSSI until 2020, in light of two important events it will be involved in: the European Seniors, which will take place in Cagliari in June, and the 2020 World Championships.

On Sunday 13 January, a delegation from the team sang the anthem during the opening of the Superlega match at the Mediolanum Forum between home team Power Volley Milano and Azimut Modena.

“We are truly happy to continue supporting the Italian Deaf Sports Federation and, in particular, the women on our National Team, who have already demonstrated their abilities in achieving significant results”, commented the Director of Communication and Institutional Relations for Cattolica, Emanuela Vecchiet. “Cattolica believes in sport as an inclusive and formative instrument for growth, challenge and pushing the limits that each one of us has. We will therefore be the first to cheer on the Azzurre at their upcoming international events, the European and World Championships. We are certain of their sport and personal success.”
