Cattolica sponsors the Women’s National Deaf Volleyball Team at the U21 European Championship

One week of competition to win the European Under-21 Women's Deaf Volleyball Champions title. From 4 to 9 June, the PalaOreto sports arena in Palermo will host the young Italian athletes chosen for the prestigious category tournament. The team will wear the uniform with the Cattolica Assicurazioni logo for the first time. The company is supporting the Italian volleyball team at the event, organised by ASD Spazio Sordo under the aegis of the Federazione Sport Sordi Italia (Italian Deaf Sports Federation). Trained by coach Alessandra Campedelli – former trainer of the national seniors who took home a brilliant silver at Samsun’s Deaflympics in Turkey last summer – the women will take on four games against Russia, Poland, Ukraine, and Turkey before potentially competing in the final stage of the championship, scheduled for Friday 8 and Saturday 9 June.
“Cattolica Assicurazioni believes sport to be an instrument for growth and success, helping us to exceed and overcome our limits,” said Emanuela Vecchiet, Cattolica’s Communication Director. “With this partnership, we wish to support the teams’ sporting and personal adventure as they bring dedication, passion, and commitment to the field. Those are values Cattolica strongly believes in.”
