Chiara de’ Stefani and Nerino Chemello replace Luigi Baraggia and Anna Tosolini and are co-opted into the Board as independent and non-executive directors

Verona, January 17th, 2017

The Board of Directors of Cattolica Assicurazioni, which met today in Verona under the chairmanship of Paolo Bedoni, has co-opted into the Board Chiara de’ Stefani and Nerino Chemello as independent and non-executive directors. Chiara de’ Stefani and Nerino Chemello replace the resigning directors Luigi Baraggia and Anna Tosolini, to whom the Board expressed sincere appreciation for the contribution given to the Company.

The Chairman of Cattolica Assicurazioni, Paolo Bedoni, stated: “Luigi Baraggia’s resignation is the expression of the keen sense of responsibility of a great professional, widely respected and recognised, and of his deep connection with Cattolica. Thanks to his competence, his passion and to his moral rectitude - added Bedoni - Baraggia was an absolute protagonist on the path that, over the years, led Cattolica to become one of the main Italian insurance groups. I would like to warmly thank him, both personally and on behalf of the whole Board, being aware of the fact that he will still play other important roles within the Group".

Chiara de’ Stefani is registered with the Council of Certified Public Accountants and Tax Advisors in Padua. She is a member of the Board of SIT S.p.A, as well as of the Board of Lombarda Vita S.p.A. and a member of the Board of the Association of Female Entrepreneurs and Managers.

Nerino Chemello held various positions within different Italian banking and financial institutions and, within the Group, he currently serves as Deputy Chairman of BCC Vita S.p.A.
