The Cattolica Assicurazioni extraordinary and ordinary General Meeting was held today in Verona. Joined remotely by Rome, the General Meeting approved all the items on the agenda. Specifically, 99.9% of Members approved the new By-Laws, which include some changes such as the new one-tier governance system and a reduction in the number of Directors to 17 members. Cattolica also confirmed its cooperative model, tempered by an opening of capital to the Members. Finally, the General Meeting appointed Alberto Minali as Director and confirmed the distribution of a dividend at € 0.35 per share.

The Mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina, highlighted the importance of Cattolica Assicurazioni as a business on both a local and national level, in addition to the Company's deep and authentic roots in the territory.

Managing Director Alberto Minali presented the 2017 Financial Statements and the 2018-2020 Business Plan.

"Cattolica&Solidarietà": the gift of azaleas to Cattolica Members

At the end of the Assembly each Member was given an azalea plant: a present for the participants and a symbol of the Company's attention to women and issues related to women's health.
 

A total of 1800 seedlings were purchased by the Cattolica Group and given to Members, the proceeds of which will be donated to ANDOS. A non-profit organisation, it was established in 1976 by Luisa Nemez, with the support of Prof. Piero Pietri, as a rehabilitation centre for women who have undergone mastectomies. The centre offers women whose breasts have been operated on more specific and attentive care, to help them overcome the many related traumas.

ANDOS is committed to raising women's awareness on the problems of breast conditions and on the existence of a considerable range of free assistance services for their Committees, also through communication that is gentle and not strictly linked to coarse medical terminology.
