Insurance fraud and counter solutions: Cattolica’s experience presented in Lecce

Insurance fraud and the need to find solutions that overcome obstacles due to privacy legislation in order to counter fraud in this sector. This was the central theme at the latest national conference on insurance fraud and counter solutions, which took place on Friday 25 May at the Castello Carlo V in Lecce, attended by well-known professionals and experts in the field. Also taking part in the day of debate was Carlo Castellani, Head of the Office for Legal Authority Relations in the Legal and Corporate Affairs Department of Cattolica Assicurazioni.
“The Cattolica Group, through the mass use of the IVASS Claims Database and latest generation computing tools,” underlined Castellani during his speech, “is succeeding in its intention to bring important strands of investigation to the fore, even with regard to the phenomenon of serial indicators. On the issue of countering fraud, however, it is also important to highlight the relationship between insurance companies, ANIA*, and Public Prosecutor’s Offices on the national territory: authorising operative protocols shared between these players is an effective starting point for initiating an ever-closer collaboration between the Court and the insurance sector.”
