Idem, the twelfth edition devoted to poetry, is about to begin

Four dates to reflect on poetry as essence of art, four appointments to analyse the person of the poet, creator of words, images and sounds. Idem, the event dedicated to cultural and artistic movements, that mark our cultural identity, returns again this year to the Teatro Filarmonico. The program was official introduced Tuesday morning in the Sala Arazzi [Hall of Tapestries] of the Town Hall of Verona. “We are proud to support this project which has now reached its twelfth edition, confirming a success that has not experienced any decrease in the satisfaction of the public - stated the Councillor of Culture, Francesca Briani -. A festival that offers very stimulating subjects”. Cycle of meetings of which Cattolica Assicurazioni is the main partner. “It is an ambitious cultural project - commented the Cattolica Director of Communications and External Relations, Emanuela Vecchiet -, that wants to analyse and develop the sense of identity, promoting the development of the city and its territory. An organisation of which Cattolica is an integral part”.
Giancarlo Giannini will inaugurate the series of events on 4 November, with interpretations and reflections on poetry as literary and theatrical work. Monday, 20 January, Umberto Galimberti will offer an original lecture on the relationship between philosophy and poetry. On 3 February, Melania Mazzucco will take the stage for an analysis of poetry in the history of the arts, from Giotto to Kubrick.
