The Board of Directors of Cattolica Assicurazioni approves the top management reorganisation
Verona, 16 January 2020. The Board of Directors of Cattolica Assicurazioni, which met today under the chairmanship of Paolo Bedoni, has approved the top management reorganisation that became necessary following the conferral of the executive powers, previously gradated to the CEO, to Mr. Carlo Ferraresi, General Manager of Cattolica.
A Co-Directorate General - Insurance Area will be created, reporting directly to Mr. Ferraresi and under the responsibility of Mr. Valter Trevisani, who has been appointed Co-General Manager of the Insurance Area with operational powers in the following sectors:
- Technical Area for all insurance classes (Life and welfare, Motor and Non-Motor);
- Reinsurance of all insurance classes (Life and welfare, Motor and Non-Motor);
- Claims (management and settlement);
- Sales (Professional channels, Bancassurance, Religious Entities and Non-Profit Business Units);
- Marketing;
- Legal Division and Complaints;
- Insurance Analytics & Business Architecture.
Valter Trevisani, who joined the Cattolica Group in April 2018 as General Manager of the Technical Area and Operations, is a professional of international stature and boasts a consolidated experience in the insurance and financial sectors, thanks to a constant professional growth. Within the Cattolica Group, he is also the CEO of Cattolica Services and the Chairman of CattRe.
A Deputy Directorate General - Chief Operations Office, reporting directly to Mr. Ferraresi and under the responsibility of Mr. Samuele Marconcini, will also be created and will include the following areas: Operations and IT, HR and Organisation as well as the Academy and Transformation & Automation units.
Samuele Marconcini, who joined the Group in March 2015 as Human Resources and Organisation Manager, boasts a wide managerial experience and gained in-depth technical and management experience in the insurance sector at national and international level, working for both financial and consulting firms. Within the Cattolica Group, he is also member of Cattolica Services Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of CattRe.
The Deputy General Manager team, besides Samuele Marconcini, also comprises the CFO Enrico Mattioli and the Non-Motor Director Nazareno Cerni, who is also the CEO of TUA Assicurazioni and CATTRe.
Carlo Ferraresi stated: “The approved amendments are in line with market best practice. By strengthening the coordination between the technical area and the commercial area and between the operational structure and the IT, the two newly established structures have aim at further strengthening the Company to facilitate the achievement of the Business Plan goals, on which all colleagues are committed.
