Chairman of Cattolica Paolo Bedoni presents the eighth edition of the Festival of Social Doctrine

“It will be a great opportunity for Verona and for Italy to discuss fundamental issues such as solidarity, employment and the economy. Our company is experiencing much contradiction and malaise, because with an increase in wealth it also sees an increase in poverty. This event therefore stands for building a sustainable and supportive community.” These were the words the Chairman of Cattolica Assicurazioni, Paolo Bedoni, used to open the press conference announcing the eighth edition of the Festival of Social Doctrine. The conference took place yesterday morning in Palazzo Barbieri and was attended by Monsignor Adriano Vincenzi, the event creator, Adriano Tombo, Secretary of the Fondazione Cattolica and Federico Sboarina, Mayor of Verona.
“The Risk of Freedom” is the title chosen for the new edition, which will once again be hosted at the Cattolica Center from 22 to 25 November. The inauguration of the event will take place on Thursday evening with the viewing of a video message by Pope Francis, which will officially commence the four days of debates and analyses between various players in corporate life: entrepreneurs, professionals and members of the world of institutions, economy and culture. Friday evening will see the return of the Entrepreneurs of the Common Good Award, a recognition given to some Italian entities that have stood out for their social commitment.
