At the headquarters in Assolombarda, Milan, Cattolica Assicurazioni head of M&A and investment manager, Jacopo Tanaglia, received the award for the finalists of the XV edition of the M&A Award. The judging panel selected the company as one of the most important “Italy on Italy” operations for the bancassicurazione agreement signed with Gruppo Banco Bpm related to the acquisition of Avipop Assicurazioni S.p.A. and Popolare Vita S.p.A.

“The bancassicurazione market has always represented a fundamental channel for us in the development and sale of our products.” With these words, Jacopo Tanaglia had to say, Cattolica Assicurazioni head of M&A and investment manager commented on the award received Monday, 15 April by the company from Verona during the XV edition of the M&A Award promoted by KPMG and Fineurop in collaboration with AIFI and Università Bocconi. The judging panel, presided over by the Chairman of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Massimo Tononi, selected Cattolica Assicurazioni as one of the “Italy on Italy” operations for the bancassicurazione agreement signed with Gruppo Banco Bpm related to the acquisition of the majority shares in Popolare Vita S.p.A. and Avipop Assicurazioni S.p.A. and the signing of an insurance products distribution agreement in Life and Damage business. At the headquarters in Assolombarda, Milan, the best mergers and acquisitions operations of 2018 related to the “Italy on Italy”, “Italy on Abroad” and “Abroad on Italy” were awarded. “The joint venture is going well – Tanaglia commented - The teams are working in close contact and in harmony and we are certain that the partnership will continue to create the value we expect.”
