CATTOLICA ENTERS INTO EXCLUSIVE NEGOTIATIONS WITH BANCO BPM FOR A LONG TERM BANCASSURANCE PARTNERSHIP IN LIFE AND NON LIFE

Verona, October 17th, 2017

Today Cattolica Assicurazioni agreed to enter into exclusive negotiations with Banco BPM in relation to a bancassurance partnership agreement, that envisages the acquisition of a majority stake in Popolare Vita and Avipop Assicurazioni and the signing of long term agreement for the distribution of life and non-life products through the former Banco Popolare network. The proposed transaction is subject to customary approvals, such as the signing of the legal documentation and regulatory clearance.
