SME and cyber risk: TUA Assicurazioni presents the first policy that protects companies during the adjustment phase to the GDPR legislation
Developed in cooperation with CATTRe, TUA Data Protection makes it possible to assess on-line the adequacy of the companies to the legislation

TUA Assicurazioni, company of the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group, launches TUA Data Protection, the first policy that protects against all the risks connected to the compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Developed in cooperation with CATTRe, the reinsurance company for non-traditional risks of the Cattolica Group established in October last year, the policy is directed to small and medium companies that operate in the production, commercial or services setting, individual professionals as well as to professional firms and associations. A reliable support for companies that need to apply a new legislation which in many ways is innovative compared to the previous regulations.
Unique on the Italian insurance market, TUA Data Protection allows the policyholder to assess on-line the company’s adequacy with the requirements of the legislation, highlighting strong and weak points of the corporate organisation and permitting the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
The product offers two guarantees:
- Compensation to third parties for liabilities resulting from violations of the legislation on the protection of personal data or violations of the network safety systems that cause unavailability or exfiltration of the data;
- Support service for a specialised management of the emergency, notification, investigation, check on the credit positions, recovery and restoration of the data and legal expenses.
