Coronavirus Emergency Initiatives Action taken by Cattolica Assicurazioni in response to the Covid-19 health crisis
At Cattolica Assicurazioni, we have always been #readytolife and even more so in emergencies. For this reason, we have launched a series of initiatives for our employees, customers and those who have fought for us all during this period of crisis.
VOUCHER FOR CATTOLICA ASSICURAZIONI’S MOTOR TPL CUSTOMERS
Provides a voucher of one month on the customer’s current Motor TPL premium, to be used in agencies for policy renewals or to purchase new products. Read the press release.

EXTENSION OF THE ARREARS PERIOD ON OVERDUE POLICIES FOR CATTOLICA AND TUA CUSTOMERS
Cattolica Assicurazioni and TUA Assicurazioni announced a 30-day extension of the arrears period for Motor and Non-Motor contracts that, on 23 February 2020 (the date of issue of the Prime Ministerial Decree) were no more than 15 days overdue, and for all subsequent due dates. NEW DIGITAL SYSTEM FOR PAYMENT OF PREMIUMS AND CLAIMS SETTLEMENT
The Pay by Link system was introduced, enabling customers to purchase or renew policies directly from home. Via an email link from their trusted agent, they are directed to a virtual payment page where they can pay using Visa or Mastercard.

HEALTH PRODUCTS UPDATED
The Cattolica&Salute Più Salute and Cattolica&Salute Tutta Salute products have been updated with the introduction of a new guarantee offering a lump sum indemnity of €1,000 in the event of hospitalisation in intensive care, with the assistance of a ventilator, for three days or more. The guarantee has been automatically extended to all existing contracts that include the daily hospitalisation cover or indemnity cover of the two products.
CATTOLICA LAUNCHES FIRST BUSINESS PROTECTION POLICY
Cattolica Assicurazioni launched a new policy, “Active Business NONStop”, designed to tackle the consequences of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The product is no longer being placed.

CATTOLICA ASSICURAZIONI AND FONDAZIONE CATTOLICA DONATE MORE THAN €2 MILLION
The earmarked funds were allocated in the first instance to the health facilities involved in the crisis, namely hospitals in Verona, Milan, Brescia, Bergamo and Rome.
Funds were also allocated to the CEI and Caritas to provide practical support for the most vulnerable and those in financial difficulty.
In the academic context, funding has been provided to support the network of Italian Catholic schools and FIDAE training centres.
Part of the fund has been allocated to other social enterprises that need support in order to continue to operate at this difficult time.

SMART WORKING AT CATTOLICA ASSICURAZIONI
Following the official announcements of restrictions to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Cattolica Assicurazioni immediately took a number of precautions relating to employees, consultants and suppliers who have access to the Group's premises, in order to ensure their health and safety.
Since February, employees and contractors have been operating in smart working mode, in addition to the scheduled two days per week, and travel between the Group’s Verona, Milan and Rome offices, and business trips within Italy and abroad, have also been suspended.
