Cristina Rustignoli

(born 11 February 1966)

 

Graduated with honours in Law in 1990 and a member of the Bar Association admitted to practice the profession by the Court of Appeal of Trieste.

Throughout her career she has gained extensive, consolidated experience in banking, finance and insurance. After specialisation and notarial traineeship, she began her career in 1992 at Cassa di Risparmio del FVG (now a part of Intesa Sanpaolo). She joined the Generali Group in 2000 in the capacity as inhouse counsel at Banca Generali, and over time assumed positions of increasing responsibility, up to central director responsible for the Governance Area, coordinating legal, corporate, human resources and organisational activities. During her time at Banca Generali, she coordinated the company's stock market listing process and, since 2002, has acted as secretary to the Board of Directors. She also was head of legal and corporate activities for other banking and financial companies of the Generali Group, including Generali Investments Italy SGR and BG Fund Management Luxembourg. Since July 2016 she has been General Counsel of Generali Italia S.p.A. and of the Generali Group for Italy and since 2019 also the General Counsel of the Global Business Lines of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.

She is Secretary of the Board of Directors of Generali Italia S.p.A. and within the Generali Group is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali Jeniot S.p.A., managing director of GBS Scarl and member of the Board of Directors of Banca Generali S.p.A.

She has also been a member of the Assoreti Management Committee and the Scientific Committee of the Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance Studies Centre. As part of her work, she has collaborated with various universities in post-university training and works as a speaker with leading training companies.
